New imperialism happened during the 19th century where there is rampant expansion of territories. Colonized countries had become followers on their own lands while colonizers heavily took their resources and used their territories as extensions for trade. In the end, in a way, the countries have been successful up to now although they do not directly hold the countries they already gained solid ground for opportunities and changes enjoyed by the citizens.
