The main criticism of the New Deal came from the very rich and some big businesses in the United States, since much of the New Deal was paid for with higher taxes on the rich.

a^{2} +b^{2}  = c^{2}

In this formula, the variables a and b are the sides of the triangle, while c is the hypotenuse. Now we can apply the values of the triangle below and solve for c.

3^{2}  + 8^{2}  = x^{2}

9 + 64 = x^{2}

73 = x^{2}   ... apply square root on both sides

8.54 = x

Finally, we can see that the run straight back home would be 8.54 miles.
