"After having lived with her for a year, Chad studied Marilou's eyes across the table , realizing he had never had a clue about

The 3rd-person omniscient narrative voice is most likely being employed here. The writing is in the 3rd person, and the narrator apparently can give access to Chad's thoughts, which suggests that the narrator is writing from a perspective that knows everything related to the story.

What should happen next in my story after this?
mylen [45]

Answer:

I think that they should arrive at the house and then they should have a conversation, you should include humor and towards the end of the conversation you can include Seth saying that he likes her and she says the same. She should then explain that that is why she calls him pretty boy and she always acts snooping around him and you should end it with Seth winning the bet but giving back whatever was given to him for the bet because he and sila are now in love.

Explanation:

I know that sounded so corny but that is just what came to my mind, I love your story and would love to read more stories if you write anymore! Keep up the good work!

Why would you extricate yourself from a planned road trip upon learning of an approaching blizzard?
Nimfa-mama [501]
You would extricate or free yourself from the road trip because you know a blizzard is coming. Any person with common sense knows that a blizzard will cause road blocks, resulting in slower travel and possible wrecks/fatalities.

Identify which sentences contain metaphors.
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

Life is a roller coaster, he is my rock, and time is money.

Explanation:

"The explanation was as clear as mud" is not a metaphor because it contains the word "as". Any additional and nonliteral phrase starting with the word like or as is called a simile, a different but very similar figure of speech.

I hope this does you well! Happy learning friend :)

a student is writing a research paper about the panama canal read the paragraph from the research paper and answer the question
attashe74 [19]

The sentence that would provide the best conclusion for the paragraph is:

 • Building the Panama canal proved to be a very difficult project.

What is the best conclusion for a paragraph?

The description from the text shows that the project was not a very easy one. Here, we see that a lot of effort was put into the project. Also, the project spanned about 100 years before it reached its conclusion. The longer routes that were plied by the ships made the task even more difficult.

A fitting conclusion is one that would summarize the nature of the Panama canal project. The option that provides this kind of exact description is the first option selected above.
