There were three different perspectives in the novel "The way to Rainy Mountain". One mythological or the ancestral voice, which tells the reader about the Kiowa by using oral traditions and myths. One historical or historical commentary, which tells the reader about the Kiowa tribe's history. And the third one, the personal one, where the author (Mamoday) tells his own experiences.
