This passage uses personification. Words cannot actually be stiff or heavy, and they do not need to be pushed out of one's mouth, but these adjectives and actions give the reader a vivid picture of Molly trying to say this words, and struggling greatly to do so.

How was "The Blank Slate" Theory disproven???
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

\huge\blue{\mid{\fbox{\tt{ answer: }}\mid}}

According to blank slate theory, the mind is completely blank at birth. From there, education, environment, and experiences – which are external, as well as material and/or immaterial – shape the child's process of development. This leaves a lasting effect on who they become.

11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

The correct answer is "It is best described as an anecdote".

We consider an anecdote to be a personal account or retelling of a particular event or incident. The key word here is "personal". In the example given, we clearly see how <u>the point of view is from the protagonist of a certain personal experience he had and the way he felt about it, constituting it as an anecdote.</u>

We don't know for a fact Utopians don't care about riches, because we're only getting a single man's experience which in addition, cannot be proven.

An analogy recquires some sort of strong comparisson of metaphor that isn't really present in this excerpt.

Hope this helps!
