Answer:

The speaker enjoys this unexpected visit from the wind.

Explanation:

In this poem, the figurative language that the author uses implies that she enjoys the visits from the wind. We learn that she hears the wind "tap like a tired man" and she enjoys letting it into her house. We also learn that she thinks the sound it makes to be like that of hummingbirds, or music. These phrases indicate that the speaker is happy to welcome the wind.

Hello!

The narrative voice in this passage shows that Squeaky has little respect for people she thinks are shallow.
The quotation "a dumb question like that doesn't deserve an answer" demonstrates a lack of respect for Mary Louise. Additionally, the passage mentions that "it's not a smile at all" which describes a sense of shallowness.

I hope this helps you! Have a great day!

When talking to someone face-to-face, it is easy to understand tone–you can hear it in the other person’s voice and see her/his
myrzilka [38]

Examples of how one can convey the tone of messages are:

 • Confident,
 • Arrogant,
 • Racist,
 • Humorous,
 • Emotional,
 • Intimate,
 • Condescending and
 • Serious

What is a tone?

This is a manner in which the verbal statement is presented including its rhythm, breathiness, hoarseness, or loudness.

A key element to communicating a message is the tone as this reflects psychological arousal, emotions, and mood and carries social information such as in a sarcastic, superior, or submissive manner of speaking.

Hence, we can agree that the three basic types of tones are formal, informal and optimistic tones.

Is “a bird” an subject, verb or object
Delicious77 [7]

I believe a "a bird" is a subject because I did process of elimination. It can't be a verb, because you cannot "do a bird." It depends what the context of the sentence is as well. Is there a clear object, or subject? Otherwise, I would say subject.
