The correct answer is C) The major news networks grew to be stronger than ever.

The statement that was not true about television since the 1980s is "The major news networks grew to be stronger than ever."

During the 1980s, TV started to better segment audiences to better offer programs such as MTV, VH1, CNN that made cable TV grow in popularity. Paid TV represented a serious competition to syndicated TV or public television. The late-night shows became very popular for adult audiences. In the 1990s, some big corporations started to buy other media outlets, even cable TV companies. Audiences became more diversified. In the 2000s, reality shows started to be a new attraction. However, with the arrival of the internet, TV has suffered to keep the loyalty of their audiences.

B) In 2-3 sentences, describe how this excerpt reflects the influence of foreign events on the spread of revolutionary sentiment in the colonies.

After reading this paragraph we can infer that it refers to the colonial power exercised by his majesty over his colonies. We also see that it reveals which were the dominant colonies of the time and names them referring to France and Great Britain.

How can the creation of a new empire impact of people and culture of a region
Ksju [112]
It can either bring people together into a new fused culture, or it can diffuse them. If various people exist of various cultures and a new empire rises then the leader has to accept all the people into his empire. This means that the cultures all exist and since they all have to behave according to what the emperor says, the cultures often mix and create somewhat of a mixed culture. If the empire separates people then it leads to diffusion because new aspects of cultures develop independently.
