War Collectivism in world war 1 by Murray N. Rothbrad

more than any other single period, world war 1 was the critical watershed for the American business System. It was a "war connectivism"a totally planned economy run largely by big business interests through the instrumentally of the central government, which served as the model, the precedent, and the inspiration for State cooperate capitalism for the reminder of the 20th century.

that inspiration and president emerged not only in the United States, but also in the world economies of the major combatants of world war 1. word collectivism show the big business interests of the Western war that it was possible to shift radically from the previous, lordly flea market, capitalism to a New order marked by strong government, and extensive and pervasive government intervention in planning, for the purpose of providing a network of subsidies and monopolistic privileges to business, and especially to large business, interests. in particular, the economy could be capitalized under the aegis of government, with prices raised in production fixed and restricted, in the classic pattern.

The US reorganized it's economy to produce food, arms, and other goods to support the war effort. The Food Administration helped boost food production to feed both American troops and Allied troops fighting in the war. The Food Administration also encouraged citizens to plant their own "Victory Gardens" to raise their own food. People went without wheat on Mondays, and without meat on Tuesdays, saving the food for the men fighting in the trenches. The US was short on military supplies, at the time they entered WW1. The War Industries Board told factories what to produce and at what price. The War Labor Board helped settle workers disputes in order to prevent strikes and labor unrest, which would slow down production of needed supplies.

explain and argument: why does madison say a republican form of government best suits the united states as it forms a new consti
SashulF [63]
James Madison played a great role in establishment of the US as a republic. During the writing of the constitution, the founding fathers were adamant that they wanted democratic system of governance. However, they were torn between a direct democracy and a republican democracy. James Madison dismissed a direct democracy since the US is a large country and thus impossible to be governed through direct pure democracy. Instead, the father of the constitution argued for a scheme of representation in a republican setting. He especially lauded such a government since it even catered for the rights of the minority than in direct democracies.

What did the UN commission conclude about the events in Darfur?
MissTica

The UN commission conclude about the events in Darfur is human rights had been violated, but that the conflict was not genocide

Explanation:

The Commission concluded that the Government of Sudan has not attempted a policy of genocide. Arguably, two elements of genocide might be gathered from the gross violations of human rights committed by Government forces and the militias under their control.

These two elements are, first, the actus reus consisting of killing, or causing serious bodily or mental harm; and, second, based on a subjective standard, the presence of a defended group being targeted by the authors of criminal conduct.
