To reflect about a particular problem cannot be reduced to simply thinking about all the what ifs. By taking this strategy, we only increase our anxiety, as it leads us to believe that there are a million things that can go wrong. Moreover, this is not conducive to finding a solution. When we reflect about a problem, what we do is we try to think about the roots of the problem, the consequences, the areas in which we can take action, and the alternatives for action we possess. By thinking in this way, we can highlight our best choice of action and increase our feeling of empowerment.
