A will be 0

Since x has to be greater than 1 it cannot be -3, Which would make the first equation in the parentheses 0. And it cannot be 1 which would make the second equation 0.

Since neither equation equal out to 0, A has to be 0 to make the final answer 0 or D

The answer is -37! You would substitute the numbers you were given for the variables so the equation would become 5(3) -3 + 7(-7)

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a stem and leaf plot. If you don't know what a stem and leaf plot is, try searching it before coming back and viewing the solution. I also see an "example" button. It might help to hit that too.

First, we sort the list of numbers. Here is what we get:

64, 66, 67, 68, 69, 74, 75, 76, 78, 79

Here, the stems are the tens digits and the leaves are the ones digits.

Therefore, for the stem 6, the leaves are:

4, 6, 7, 8, 9

For the stem 7, the leaves are:

4, 5, 6, 8, 9

The answer, I believe, is C

Haley bought 8 pencils and 3 folders for $10.39. Nicole bought 5 pencils and 4 folders for $10.51. How much does a folder cost?
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

$1.89

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 8p+3f=$10.39

2) 5p+4f=$10.51

where p represents pencil & f represents folder.

multiply the first equation by 5 and the second equation by 8.

40p+15f=$51.95

40p+32f=$84.08

Subtract

17f=$32.13

f=$32.13/17 =$1.89
