It was the largest battle of the civil war. Battle was fought around Gettsburg in PA. Gen. George Mead led the Union Army of the Potomac and defeated Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. The defeat halted Lee's invasion of the North. The battle was the turning point of the war and the North eventually defeated the South after that.

The Battle of Gettybury is a significant battle during the US Civil War. The North stopped the second major invasion by the South which was led by their best general Robert Lee. With that invasion stopped, the North began to turn the following battles against the South and eventually won the Civil War. It was also one of the bloodiest battles during the war - including both sides, a total of over fifty thousands soldiers were killed.

Which areas were most permanently impacted by expansion of Islam?
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

North Africa and Southwest Asia

Explanation:

I believe it is the 4th option (sorry if it's wrong). From 1450 to around 1750, trade routes by land and sea allowed religion, culture, and technologies to spread to different parts of the world. Islam was spread through trade in Africa (mainly North Africa), where many of these African kingdoms converted to Islam due to trade and communication. Islam was also spread to Southwest Asia for a brief period of time through military expansion. It affected the politics and religious divide in many asian empires in this region. An example of this is the Mughal Empire which was officially a muslim state, but had a hindu majority. The Mughal Empire is now modern day India, where you still can see a divide between Muslims and Hindus, as well as cultural influences and technological advancements brought through the spread of Islam.

IrinaVladis [17]
The Sherman Antitrust act was created for that purpose, but it was also supported by the Clayton Antitrust Act which came later on. Roosevelt was known as "Teddy the Trust-Buster" for his strict enforcement of these acts.
