Almost everything that would be a danger sign a President seeking re-election happened in 1980. A perfectly bad storm hit the Presidential re election that year. And yet, surprisingly, it was always closer than the election result demonstrated.

What principles underlie the foundation of American democracy?
nydimaria [60]

Answer:

The principle will be Equality, Justice, and Liberty.

Explanation:

Democracy throughout the U.S is guided by three values around which the country's economic socio-political structure is founded: liberty, freedom, and fairness (justice).

  • The nation, therefore, advocates equality for all its people, seeing this right as that of the privilege of every male and female to determine their respective existence without even any restriction whatsoever. To do this, it is the role of the government as well as the legislation treat everyone equally reasonably, that is, there was no other advantage than economic worth.
  • Ultimately, the convergence of both principles means the creation of a just society in which the honest is compensated as well as the incorrect is persecuted and in which the fruit of each dedication and commitment is received.

What are consequences of globalization?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Globalization must be expected to influence the distribution of income as well as its level. So far as the distribution of income between countries is concerned, standard theory would lead one to expect that all countries will benefit. Economists have long preached that trade is mutually beneficial, and most of us believe that the experience of widespread growth alongside rapidly growing trade in the postwar period serves to substantiate that. Similarly most FDI goes where a multinational has intellectual capital that can contribute something to the local economy, and is therefore likely to be mutually beneficial to investor and recipient. And a flow of capital that finances a real investment is again likely to benefit both parties, since the yield on the investment is expected to be higher than the rate of interest the borrower has to pay, while that rate of interest is also likely to be higher than the lender could expect at home since otherwise there would have been no incentive to send it abroad. Loose talk about free trade making the rich countries richer and poor countries poorer finds no support in economic analysis.

Which of the following best describes the Iran contra scandal of 1986
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer:

Iran–Contra, was a political scandal in the United States that occurred during the second term of the Reagan Administration.

The administration officials secretly facilitated the sale of arms to the Khomeini government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was the subject of an arms embargo.

The official justification for the arms shipments was that they were part of an operation to free seven American hostages being held in Lebanon by Hezbollah, a paramilitary group with Iranian ties connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
