Which concluding sentence best reflects the writer's voice? O He taught me about chess legend Garry Kasparov, and together we di
kicyunya [14]

This question is incomplete. Here's the complete question

Read this student's rough draft.

I learned the game of chess under the wise tutelage of my  Uncle Ray. He's a chess master, and he dominates the  West Side Park tournaments each spring. Uncle Ray  explained bishops, rooks, and pawns for me as my parents  were teaching me my alphabet. I learned how to protect my queen as my peers learned to ride bicycles, Ray instructed  me daily on chess theory and end game strategy .

Which concluding sentence best reflects the writer's voice?

He taught me about chess legend Garry Kasparov, and  together we dissected his games .

I like chess because it's super fun, and someday I'll beat my uncle at his own game.

He is a fantastic teacher, and he has the skills to crush  the competition in any tourney .

The next local tourmament is being sponsored by the  Rotary club and the entry fee is ten dollars.

Answer: He taught me about chess legend Garry Kasparov, and  together we dissected his games .

Explanation:

The chosen sentence is the best to reflect the writer's voice because it keeps a similar tone and the same past tense. While the other choices are in the present tense, only this one keeps the past tense in which the writer refers to uncle Ray. Furthermore, it keeps the same rather formal and eloquent tone, as if the writer was an adult talking about childhood memories.

Why cant you live without your mom
Delvig [45]
I can’t live without my mother because she has done a lot for me. First of all, she brought me to this world. Second, she would always be there for me, when I’m sad. My mother is like my best friend. My mom is really special to me. She has a lot of patience to be able to take care of a person like me.

Which form does a verb take when the subject receives the action?
maxonik [38]
The voice of the verb tells whether the subject performs or receives the action. These voices are active voice and passive voice. Since active voice depicts that the subject performs the action, then the answer is passive voice. Passive voice depicts that the subject receives the action expressed by the verb.
