Why was switching from chains to cables in the building of roller coasters important?

Switching from chains to cables in the building of roller coasters was important because cables are less likely to snap when hauling several tons of roller coaster cars full of people. Chains are made of linked, welded pieces of metal that can easily snap if they pull too much. Cables, while they can snap, are much less likely to do so, because they're a stretch of fibers, be it metal or other, without any potential weak spots.

Hello guys. I need a gothic short story that includes gothic themes and vocabulary. Ill give 40 points.
Rudik [331]

The action takes place in and around an old castle, sometimes

seemingly abandoned, sometimes occupied. The castle often contains secret passages,

trap doors, secret rooms, dark or hidden staircases, and possibly ruined sections. The

castle may be near or connected to caves, which lend their own haunting flavor with

their branches, claustrophobia, and mystery. (Translated into modern filmmaking, the

setting might be in an old house or mansion--or even a new house—where unusual

camera angles, sustained close ups during movement, and darkness or shadows create

the same sense of claustrophobia and entrapment.)

What does scarce heard amid the guns in Flanders field mean
soldi70 [24.7K]
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below
