He would be in a lot better shape if here were wealthy, but no different if he were white and poor, because the color of your skin does not matter.

The answer is "C". She is talking about being equal with men and she can do as much as they can and that  is a struggle because nobody is going to listen to her. I don't see any part that talks about a slave but that option is the most accurate.
