Mercantilism is the economic theory that trade generates wealth. The triangular trade was for slave labor and goods. Slavery mostly though, the Europeans took textiles,rum,and manufactured goods to Africa, the slaves went to the Americas and the Americas traded sugar,tobacco, and cotton to Europe.
