Answer:

"Everyday Use" shows the character of Maggie as someone who is timid and too self-conscious that she barely seems able to even express herself at all.

Explanation:

Maggie is a young girl who is both mentally and physically scarred. Everything affects her, be it the burning house, her sister Dee or the society. she had already been greatly traumatized by the burning down of her house that it made her timid and a self-conscious, even to the length of extremity. And though she is an introverted timid girl, when there is something that she wants, she is still capable of expressing her innermost desire. When the issue of their grandmother's quilts came up, she knew that Dee will only use it and then discard it without knowing the full significance and emotional attachment it has with their family. so, she was adamant to make it a point that the quilt is given to her but she ended up not getting it.

How did Mrs.Dorling react when the narrator said, “I am Mrs.s’s daughter.”?
vlada-n [284]
Mrs. Dorling acted indifferently when the author said, "I am Mrs. S's daughter," since she didn't want to give her all of Mrs. S's valuable possessions.
Explanation:
This is a question taken from the story "The Address."
When the narrator came to her house, Mrs. Dorling pressed her palm against the door, as if she didn't want it to open anymore.
Her expression was completely devoid of recognition.
She kept silently staring at the woman.
Since the narrator knew about the lady's greediness, The narrator pretended to be unconcerned with reality.
