In at least 100 words, describe a coming-of-age story that you have read and explain why it can be described in those
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

A coming of age store I have read is Great Expectations. The story can be described in those words because it is about Pip's (the main character) story throughout his childhood and his adulthood. In Great Expectations it tells about how his sister Mrs. Joe “brought him up by hand” and how Miss Havisham invited him to her house and introduced him to Estella. Pip loves Estella and grows up wanting to be a gentleman to please Estella even though she claims he is coarse and common and she is cruel to him. Pip then leaves his apprenticeship as a blacksmith at Joe’s forge to learn to be a gentleman in London.
