The Gulf Coastal plain is different from other regions as it contains most of the south and east portion of Texas. It also has many major cities such as Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas,Texarkana, and Corpus Christi.

It also includes three major rivers the Brazos, Colorado and the Trinity. Due to this, it also has 3 largest companies (oil, fishing, and ranching) as compared to other regions and also this region has the most fertile soil along the banks of the rivers.
