The Gentlemen's Agreement address the issue of the immigration of Japanese workers into the United States. Japanese workers were constantly met with hostility when entering the US, especially in the city of San Francisco. President Teddy Roosevelt wanted to relieve these tensions, as he saw Japan as an ally against Russia expansion in the far east.

This is when Roosevelt uses his power as President to intervene. This agreement resulted in Japanese immigrants being unable to enter the US through other countries (like Canada). This allowed Japan to keep a large number of their workforce in their own country.

On which of the following issues did Lincoln and Davis most strongly disagree?
Brut [27]

Answer:

Whether the South had the right to secede.

Explanation:

In the history of America, the issue of slavery and the election of Abraham Lincoln became the primary issues of the states' decision to secede from the Union. This was because while the South states wanted to continue with their 'possession' of slaves, the presidency of Lincoln believes in abolishing this very practice of racial discrimination.

Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln both wanted to avoid any war that will have a huge fallout on the people of the United States. But at the same time, the two leaders strongly disagree on the issue of whether the South had the right to secede.

Thus, the correct answer is the second option.

How did Israel respond to the plos use of terrorist tactics during the 1970s
bogdanovich [222]

The government made it obligatory for every citizen to enroll in military service once he or she has reached the age of 18. This period of service lasts 32 months for men and 24 months for women. The only citizens who are exempt from the draft are the ones who are undergoing physical incapability, or chronic illness.

Israeli military personnel is trained on a self-defense technique called Krav Maga, which was exclusively developed by the Israeli forces. It is a combination of disarming moves taken from boxing, wrestling, Aikido, Judo, and Karate. This technique is proven to be highly efficient on one-to-one combat and against the guerrilla-style warfare applied by Israel's opposing forces.
