Multiply both sides by x

75=9x

Flip the equation

9x=75

divide both sides by 9

9x/9=75/9

x=25/3

x= 8.3 or 8

so the number is 8 or you can also put 8.3

Check the answer

75/8.3= 9.03

or 75/8= 9.3
