Abraham Maslow was an important American psychologist mainly know for his theory related to human needs. In this, Maslow proposes there are five levels in the pyramid of needs. These levels include physiological needs related to food, water, and similar basic needs; safety needs related to security in different areas; social needs related to friends, family, and group belonging; self- esteem neds related to the image and evaluation of ourselves, and finally self-actualization needs that are related to personal fulfillment or the capability to improve oneself and achieve goals. According to this, it is self-actualization the term for needs involving personal fulfillment in Maslow's hierarchy.
Scaffolding is done when a student is provided with enough support to complete a task until competence is achieved. Support is gradually decreased until the student becomes able to work independently.
