Hello!

First-person point of view means that the text is being written from the writer's/narrator's viewpoint. When something is written in first-person point of view, "I" statements are often used.

The answer to this question would be B. "Be that it may, I could not help thinking." This is first person point of view because the text is written from the narrator's viewpoint.

Option A would be third person point of view because the text is written from a different person's viewpoint. "she was a spinster" Makes this third person point of view because "she" is being spoken about, and is not the person speaking.

I hope this helps you! Have a great day!

Identify the following sentence as simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex. Although it is not as wealthy as South Africa
attashe74 [19]
The answer to the given sentence above would be a complex sentence. What makes it complex is that, it contains an independent and a dependent clause. The clauses are connected by a subordinating conjunction which is the word "although". Hope this answers your question.

Please help!! Thank you
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

See explanation for answer.

Explanation:

After realizing that she had lost her friend's necklace Madame Loisel went into a state of panic, stress, and even more poverty than she and her husband were in before. She asked everyone she knew for money promising to pay them back just so she could afford a new "identical" necklace to give to her friend. With all of the borrowed money, she had finally bought the new necklace and "returned" it to her friend. Little did she know that the necklace she borrowed was fake.

So for 10 years she spent cleaning and working so hard trying to pay back all these people thinking the necklace she lost was real. Throughout these 10 years, she more or less entered a state of depression and ultimate exhaustion realizing she had wasted so much of her life.

I hope this helps!
