Many people do bad things for many different reasons.  Some people do bad things because others did bad things to them.  Others do bad things because they don't realize it's bad or they think they are doing the right thing.  Sometimes it's a mistake.  It is impossible to know everyone's reasoning for why they do bad things.  A good way to answer this would be by asking yourself why you do bad things, if you do.
