I do not know exactly what you mean by this question - I think you were supposed to attach the sentences with the post - but here is something that has helped me a lot in my writing, especially when I feel the need to use dashes. Note that hyphens are used differently! Hyphens are used to connect two words together (Ex. good-looking, or dish-washing), connect a prefix and a word (Ex. co-operating, co-ordinance, co-worker), and in numbers (12000-120000 people..)
