The Dust bowl was a period of time where severe dust storms hit the southern plain regions of the country, this caused many people, animals and crops to die, and it was caused by over farming and a severe drought, this intensified the effects of the great depression since many farms lost all of their crops and made a large amount of families to migrate to places where farming and better life conditions were posible.
