The most delicious pizza ever
My mouth watered as I saw the chef took out pizza out of the stone baked oven. He smiled as he served the piping hot pizza to me. The first bite of the pizza oozed hot salty cheese that melted in my mouth and the bbq pepperoni teased my tongue. The taste of special sauce combined with chicken, capsicum slices, pepperoni and lots of cheese was savoury and salty in the right amount to make one's craving voracious for more servings. As the hot salsa sauce and cheese shavings mingled with the meaty pizza, my hunger was pleased with the generous amount I had eaten. The best pizza I have eaten in any restaurant.
My translation of these stanzas of the poem "Edward" in modern, familiar English, is as follows: Why is your sword dripping with blood like that, Edward? Why is your sword dripping with blood like that? And why are you going about looking so sad? Oh, I have killed my good hawk, Mother, Oh, I have killed my good hawk And I don’t have another one. Your hawk’s blood was surely not as red as that. I hope this helps
So that if you do bad and comect a crime they will remember you
The use of imagery in this text helps us (readers) to imagine the sights and smells of the soldiers camouflaging themselves (option C). It tells us how they used leaves on their helmets, they painted their faces with smelly ash -it tells us they became animals, a part of the jungle, so we create an image of a beast/soldier.
An ‘idiom’, I believe, is the type of figurative language used. An idiom is “an expression whose meaning is different from the meaning of its individual words.” Which means that the phrase above means something other than what is stated.
