You are most likely at an A. open primary. An open primary occurs when members of all parties can be voted for on the same ticket, also called a split ticket.

The anti-federalists believed that a centralized government would cause lots of corruption. They thought that it would be easier for local and state governments to control smaller groups of people. The federalists argued that more corruption would be within a small group of people because they have similar thought processes and the minority will not have their say in the government. But, when a large group of diverse people are being governed it is harder to be corrupt and please just one group, because the other different groups of minorities will get upset.
