Human life expand has increased due to technological advancements. Nowadays is common to find people living until 85 to 90 years. Better medicines, better treatments, and good nutrition have helped humans to live more and the most important thing, with a better quality of life. Technology has created new tools, hardware, and software that is used in hospitals to treat diseases and improving surgical procedures.

Probably 1, however I can see why that would be a tiny bit confusing.

Building walls protects from incoming invaders(at least back in the day), creating armies, makes a force to go and fight to protect the people, and what was the other one? Oh yea, moving to a safer place.

Doing that would mean making invasions less likely, and making your people feel and be safer.
