This is because the two events happened to be coincidental but there is no solid evidence to conclude that one caused the other. As option A suggests, it is worth investigating but not a conclusive proof.

Ivan

I think the correct answer is C. He views the situation with bitter irony, as he knows that the people were going to meet a horrible fate.

He already knows what destiny they are going to meet at the concentration camp, he doesn't mock them or anything because of their naivety, he doesn't destroy it but he does nothing to help or stop the situation or give them a heads up about what is going to come.

Change the active voice sentences into passive and the passive voice sentences into active.
Ilya [14]

Answer:

1). Doctors diagnose over 20,000 patients with diabetes each year in the United States. (Passive to Active).

2). The extract from Sample A to Sample B was added (by us) to create a mixture. (Active to Passive).

3). The scribes and scholars have written Encyclopedias throughout history. (Passive to Active).

4). The results were assessed (by our team) using a Chi-square statistic. (Active to passive).

5). The embryos were stored (by us) in a cryogenic tank for two weeks. (Active to passive).

Explanation:

'Active Voice' is described as the grammatical formation in which the subject is undertaking the particular action expressed by the verb. In 'Passive Voice,' the subject receives the action instead of performing it. In the former, the emphasis is on the 'subject' while in the latter, the focus shifts to the object and the verb's action. Therefore, the subject can even be omitted in 'passive voice' as it will not affect the meaning of the sentence. The structure of active and passive voices are as follows:

Active voice - 'Subject + helping verb + main verb + object.'

Passive Voice - 'Object + helping verb + main verb + by + subject.'

What is the author communicating beyond the literal meaning of words on page 39 plz answer giving brainly
Lena [83]

Answer:

This is expressing the material wealth and excess of the 1920s.

Explanation:

At the time after the war, stock markets were high and people began to experience more national wealth and extravagance, a huge difference when compared to the previous years, which encompassed WWI. This shows how things were so extravagant on the outside, but it almost foreshadows the period of depression and excessively impoverished time to come in the following years.

I hope this helps! Have a nice day :)
