Besides winning the war, what positive effect would come out of using Winfield Scott's plan?
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

It would prevent the confederation from being able to import armaments.

Explanation:

Winfield Scott's plan is known as the "anaconda plan" and consisted of allowing the army of the union to establish a naval blockade that would allow full control of the Mississippi and Tennessee rivers, which were the routes the confederation used to export supplies agriculture and to import armaments for battle.

In addition to helping the union win the war, the plan allowed the confederation to keep the stockpile of compromised weapons and a more delicate economic situation.

how does this song compare life before and after the beginning of the great depression? why do you think the songwriter mentions
drek231 [11]
The reason for mentioning WWI soldiers is during The Depression soldiers from WWI wanted a bonus that was promised them but wanted it early since they along with millions of others were facing desperate times. Not only did the government refuse to pay them but the protest marches by the former soldiers were broken up and the camps they slept in burned.

The song in general refers to how people were well employed building the country up before the economic collapse ended up literally begging for money or food just to survive.
