In many countries, there is something that is known as "the glass ceiling". This "glass ceiling prevents women from getting raises and better paying positions just due to their gender. This happens all over the world.
The environment became more polluted as more and more people began relying on factories for business. Another effect that it had was that forests were cut down for more space. Plus, the poor had to either live with other families or on the street due to not being able to support themselves. These environments were very dirty and health hazardous. They usually had to work more than one job to support themselves.
Japanese industrialization was not spontaneous or related to free market investments like it happened in Europe. The Japanese government willfully industrialized with careful planning. They also bought much of the ideas which they used to industrialize and improve for their own needs, they didn't just randomly invent something useful.<span />
