A line contains the points (−26, −37)(−26, −37) and (−32, −61)(−32, −61) . What is the slope of the line in simplified form?
Rus_ich [418]
Slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (-61 - (-37))/(-32 - (-26)) = (-61 + 37)/(-32 + 26) = -24/-6 = 4

Therefore, slope = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the greatest common factor

Break each number into its prime components

54 = 9*6 = 3*3*3*2

36 = 6*6 = 3*2*3*3

Find the common terms

3*3*2
