Alan Everett is the President of the United States. He has nominated 15 heads of the executive departments that form his cabinet
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer is B. The official body that must confirm and approve the appointments of Alan's 15 nominees is the Senate.

Explanation:

The Senate has several exclusive powers, which are listed in the Article 1 of the United States Constitution; the most significant is that the president cannot ratify international treaties or, with rare exceptions, cannot make important designations of authorities (the most important being ambassadors, members of the federal judiciary, including the Supreme Court and members of the Cabinet) without the consent and advice of the Senate.

why do you think Americans division over the issue of slavery led to the nation fighting civil war against itself ?
djyliett [7]

Answer: The efforts to deal with the issue of enslavement with legislative compromises were doomed to fail—enslavement was never going to be a sustainable practice in a modern democratic country. But the institution was so entrenched in the United States that it could only be resolved by a Civil War and the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment.
