Answer:

At the Battle of Bunker Hill, William Howe ordered his men to make a frontal assault in broad daylight as he thought his better trained and more experienced soldiers would easily defeat the patriot forces.

Explanation:

The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775, as part of the Boston siege during the American War of Independence. General Israel Putnam was in charge of the revolutionary forces, while Major General William Howe commanded the British forces.

The result was a Pyrrhic victory for the British, who suffered more than a thousand casualties as a result of the frontal attacks carried by Howe. In their third assault, British forces overcame the patriot trenches in the Breed and Bunker hills. Later, British General Henry Clinton wrote in his diary that "A few more victories like this would surely end British rule in America."

What are the three provided options for what caused the Black Death?
Leni [432]

Answer:

The black death came from fleas. Rats in China had these fleas, and they found their way to Europe. The black death spread so easily because a) there was no proper hygiene, b) cities were often crowded and animals would walk around the streets with humans, c) the 'treatments' that doctors had really didn't have anything to do with the black death. In the end, the black death ended up killing 1/3 of Europe's population and was actually one of the reasons why the feudal system ended.

Explain why the Homestead Act was attractive to settlers.
galben [10]
The Homestead Act was attractive to settlers, because it gave land to anyone over 21, or head of family (even women and former slaves), who applied for land, this land for a very cheap price (or no price at all) and through this it enabled easy settlement.  The farmers had to then cultivate the land for a period of time, and if they did not abandon it and tended to it properly, it became their property.
