Liberals were in support of a free-market economy as they saw it as an opening for capitalist entrepreneurs to take control over the market and succeed.

The term Economic Liberalism is known as an economic system that was organized on lines of individual thinking that means that the greatest possible number of decisions related to economies which were made bu individuals in place of other organizations or institutions. It also included various policies related to the economy and freedom of movement also came under that. But it was based on strong support which was there for the market economy or private property with regards to means related to production. Some of the economic liberals were also in support of regulations made by the government related to economy but that was to a certain degree as during most of the parts they opposed any intervention by the government in the free market when there is free trade as well as an open competition.

According to the liberals, the modern version of a free market cannot exist without entrepreneurs and a liberal market society stands against and opposite in the opposition of ethical society and an entrepreneur is the one who stands against the ethical and individual organization.

Government in the Middle Ages - Feudalism

The prevailing system of government in the Middle Ages was feudalism. Though the actual term “feudalism” was not used during the Middle Ages, what we now recognize as a feudalist system of government was in control in Medieval Europe. Feudalism was a way for the Kings and upper nobility to keep control over the serfs and peasants.

Definition

There is no universally accepted modern day definition of feudalism. The word “feudal” was coined in the 17th century, some 200 years after the end of feudalism in Europe. The term “feudalism” was coined later still, in the 19th century.

After the publication of Elizabeth A. R. Brown’s The Tyranny of a Construct, many scholars have found the term “feudalism” troubling and have wanted to drop it, not just as the title of government in the middle ages, but as a term altogether.

Feudalism is mainly used in discourse today as a comparison or analogical term applied to governmental structures in history. This is known as “semi-feudal.” The term has also been brought up in discussions of non-Western societies today whose governments resemble the feudal system in medieval Europe, but this use of the term is often deemed inappropriate.
