An example of two molecules that contain carbon is compound methane ( 1 carbon bounded to four hydrogen. ) and Ethane ( two carbon atoms and four hydrogen ). Carbon is able to form so many molecules/compounds because each carbon atom can form four chemical bonds to other atoms and, because of its size, it fits in nicely as part of large molecules. Hope this helps!

Answer: Catenation

Explanation:

The catenation can be defined as the the property of the carbon atom to bind to another atoms and form compounds. The carbon can combine with hydrogen to form hydrocarbon. This property helps in the formation of multiple number of carbon compounds.

Carbon can form single, double or triple bond based on the atom to which it is combining.

Example: Methane, octane, chloroform et cetera.

Which statement most accurately explains how allosteric regulation can change an enzyme's catalytic activity? View Available Hin
Digiron [165]

Answer:

In allosteric inhibition, a regulatory molecule binds to a location other than the active site, resulting in a change in enzyme shape that allows the active site to bind substrate.

Explanation:

Allosteric regulation of an enzyme can be positive or negative, but it always involves effector molecules that bind to non-active site of the enzyme and change its conformation. That site of binding is called allosteric or regulatory site. If the enzyme activity is enhanced effector molecule is called allosteric activator but if the activity is decreased effector molecules are allosteric inhibitors.
