Hitler blamed Communists and Jews for the losses in WWI. The Nazis were fascists, they were pretty much the political opposite of communists. As a result, there was a lot of anger directed towards them. As for the Jewish people, Hitler was Anti-semetic, so he placed a lot of blame and public ire towards them.
