The correct answer is:

C. A free-market economy works well only without the government's interference.

Explanation:

Adam Smith wrote in 1776 The Wealth of Nations which was the first one to talk about Capitalism and the benefits of a free-market economy. Smith stated in his book that if the government doesn't interfere in the market (banning foreign products or raising taxes making products more expensive), people would create better products to gain a bigger profits for themselves and that consumers would be able to have better choices and prices to satisfy the demand.

Smith also pointed out the flaws of the Mercantile system, the need of property rights, and the necessary evil of social gap divisions in order to create a wealthy economy. The Wealth of Nations created the system of Capitalism and marked the beginning of economics as a science.

Did the Monroe doctrine set the foundation for US imperialism in Latin America?
zlopas [31]

Answer: The Monroe Doctrine, in its formal aspect, intended to position the US as a continental leader capable of guaranteeing the sovereignty of the Latin American nations against the European powers. Among other principles, this doctrine held that no American nation could be recolonized. Moreover, it ruled the economic autonomy of these same nations, pointing out that Europe could not interfere in the businesses established by the nations of America.

However, this principle of continental political autonomy and sovereignty was contrary to the need that some leaders saw to broaden the areas of US economic influence. Thus, the leadership stance was eventually reinterpreted as a means by which the United States could support Latin American nations with the clear interest of fixing their economic interests.

A company that holds complete control over an industrys production wages and prices
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer: I'd guess fast fashion brands like Shein or Rowne.

Explanation: Shein has been exposed for child labor, underpayed workers, terrible working conditions. Rowne is the same thing. Child labor, underpayed workers, sweatshop factories, they also copy other designers and artists designs and claim them as their own. I'd double check all of these though to be sure. Hope this helps :)
