These three countries are the United States, France, and Great Britain. The other demilitarized zone is occupied by the Soviet Union, which is a communist country during this era. These four countries also split up the capital of Berlin, with the US, France, and Great Britain controlling the western portion and the Soviet Union controlling East Berlin.
