In order to put the myth into a version of a stage play for the actors to perform, Shakespeare adds a lot more dialogue than is in the original. Even some of the inanimate objects like the wall or the moon have dialogue, and the lion speaks in English too. This is to add humor and make it work better on stage in the context of the play. </span>
