Globalization is the integration of people, organization and governments of different nations. This process is driven by international trade ( that increases economic interdependence of national economies), emigration and immigration of people in different countries - (hence transmission of ideas, meanings, and values around the world), and communication between people across the globe.

A merit of globalization is that it enables poor societies to gain advanced technologies and information that would help improve their living standards. A demerit of globalization is that it results to dissolution of rare indigenous cultures by the dominant cultures hence reduce global diversity.

How are spring and neap tides different from regular tides? Check all that apply.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer: They are extra-high tides and extra-low tides.

Explanation:

Tides are periodic movements of the great masses of water on our planet as part of the gravitational attraction exerted by the moon and the sun on Earth.

In this sense, there are two very special cases: The Spring and Neap tides.

Spring tides

Occur when there is a full moon or new moon, which makes the tides higher. During these lunar phases, the Moon, the Earth and the Sun are aligned and the gravitational attraction power is greater.

Neap tides

Occur when the moon, the earth and the sun form a right angle (90\º), being the gravity attraction on the masses of water the minimum. This happens in the crescent and wanning phases.
