This history and scandal that surrounded Lord Byron, whose real name was George Gordon Noel, and who inherited the title of Baron in 1798, has always been considered rich and impressive. Almost from the very beginning of his life, Lord Byron engaged in several very questionable relationships and adventures and ended with a great number of children, only one of which, was legitimately his from his marriage to Annabella Milbanke in 1815. The couple separated in 1816 and because of his various affairs, and the failed relationship with his wife, Lord Byron travelled to Italy, where he also got into several love affairs, most notably with Teresa Guiccioli, who was married at the time to a nobleman. It was during the 6 years of his stay in Italy that he became the most productive, creating such novels as "Don Juan". Afterwards, and most importantly, Lord Byron decided to move from Italy into D: Greece in 1823 and supported the insurgence movement against the Ottoman Empire, who had control of the country at the time. Lord Byron died in 1824 from fever in Greece.
