The case McCulloch v. Maryland is a case decided by the US Supreme Court that held that Congress has some powers derived from Article I, Section 8 that is implied.

The case Gibbons v. Ogden expanded the powers of the Congress and decided that it had the power to regulate any aspect of commerce that crossed state lines.

Both of these decisions shows that Marshall’s ruling was known for his judicial activism and the different way he interpreted the Constitution gave more power to the Federal government than to states.

How did court life at versailles contribute to the unpopularity of louis and marie antoinette?
otez555 [7]
The ensuing debt and financial crisis contributed to the unpopularity of the Ancien Régime. This led to the convening of the Estates-General of 1789. Discontent among the members of France's middle and lower classes resulted in strengthened opposition to the French aristocracy and to the absolute monarchy, of which Louis and his wife, Queen Marie Antoinette, were viewed as representatives. Increasing tensions and violence marked by events such as the storming of the Bastille during which riots in Paris forced Louis to definitively recognize the legislative authority of the National Assembly.
