Based on the excerpt, which statement accurately assesses how European culture was diffused throughout the Americas as a result

of European expansion? First, if it be unlawful: it must be so, either in respect of the law of God, or in regard to the laws of man. If in respect of Gods law, (considering our primary end is to plant religion, our secondary and subalternate ends are for the honor and profit of our nation) I demand a resolution of this plain question: whether it be not a determined truth, that the Gospel should be preached, to all the world . . . [in] one of these three ways. . . . The third belongs to us, who by way of merchandizing and trade, do buy of them the pearls of the earth, and sell to them the pearls of heaven, which action, if it be unlawful, it must proceed from one of these three grounds, either because we come to them, or trade with them, or tarry and dwell and possess part of their country against them. —Virginia Company, "A True Declaration of the Estate in Virginia," 1610

Europeans sought to spread their religion to indigenous peoples in the Americas through preaching, trade, and taking over indigenous people's lands, is the right answer.

The spread of cultural beliefs from one group to another is most commonly known as the Cultural diffusion, through which people became more reach culturally. Religion was one of the important motives for the age of Exploration. Not only Europeans but also others committed to spreading their religion in the new world. Of course, spreading of the religion was an important cause behind the exploration, but the fact, that some expeditions were the result of religious freedom of the Native Europeans in the New World cannot be denied. The desire to gain money from trade resulted in their first exploration. Europeans wanted to detour Muslim controlled trade routed and to trade directly with the East for their spices and skills or expertise.
