what could the mockingbird symbolize? mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. they dont eat up peoples gardens , dont nest in corncrib , they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us

The symbol of a mockingbird represents innocence. It represents how beautiful it is. The mockingbird doesn't take from the world, it only adds beauty to it.

I'm some way, this can symbolize Scout's ignorance at the beginning of the book. She doesn't know what is going to happen. She was too young, and then forced to mature so quickly.
