first it's 4x because the line is on the x axis and it's fourth over and it's positive. second the line is moving downward and it's in the y line which is 8 and would be subtracting because it's negative. so the answer is A. (the first one)

what is the quotient 4x/x^2+5x-6 divided by x^2-11x+28/x^2+7x+6 in simplified form? state any restrictions on the variable.
Nata [24]
A/b ÷ d/c

a/b * c/d

4x/ x² + 5x -6 * x² + 7x + 6/ x² - 11x + 28    factor

4x/ (x+6)(x-1) * (x+6)(x+1)/ (x-7)(x-4)      (x+6) cancels out

4x (x+1) / (x-1)(x-7)(x-4)

HELPP 10 POINTS Here's a graph of a linear function. Write the equation that describes that function.
erastova [34]

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m = (6-4)/(4-0)

m = 2/4

y = mx + c

6 = (2/4)(4) + c

c = 4

Thus, the equation is y = (2/4)x +4

Solve T=L(7 + RS) for S.<br> Please help
nikklg [1K]

multiply the ones in bracket by the L

T = 7× L + L × RS

T = 7L + LRS

making S the subject by transferring 7L to the left hand side of the equation.

thus

T - 7L = LRS

dividing through by LR

\frac{T}{LR}  -  \frac{7L}{LR}  = S

S=  \frac{T}{LR}  -  \frac{7}{R}
