A music store buys compact discs for $12 each and sells them for $15 each. What is the percent of markup?
4vir4ik [10]
If we take 12 to be the 100%, now 15 - 12, so is 3 bucks up for the retail price, what is 3 off 12 in percentage then?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}
amount&\%\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
12&100\\
3&p
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{12}{3}=\cfrac{100}{p}\implies p=\cfrac{3\cdot 100}{12}

Please answer my questionnn
Kaylis [27]
Hey There,

This is a subtracting fractions problem.

Solutions-

1. <span>Convert 5 \frac{7}{10} to an improper question. You do this by multiplying       the denominator and the whole number and adding that number to the numerator.    The improper fraction would be \frac{50}{7}</span>

2. Now, subtract \frac{140}{0}- \frac{15}{10}

3. The answer to step two should be \frac{125}{10}

Thus, the answer should be \frac{125}{10}=12 \frac{1}{2}

In conclusion, Jeff drives 12\frac{1}{2} miles farther then her sister.

Thank You!

List the angles of triangle PQR from smallest to largest
Norma-Jean [14]
So in order for us to know which angle is the smallest and which one is the largest, take note that the largest angle is the opposite of the longest side, and the smallest angle is the opposite of the shortest side. So base on the given figure above, the smallest angle would be angle p, then next is angle q and the largest, therefore would be angle r. Hope this answer helps. So it is p,q,r.
