I can't see the following but it's a hyperbole, in terms of literary devices. A hyperbole is an over exaggeration of something. Obviously, their stomach won't melt them so it's exaggerating. Hope this helps.

Question 2 of 10
aliya0001 [1]

Answer:

The statement about epic heroes that is most frequently true is:

D. Heroes tend to be based on archetypes.

Explanation:

In literature, archetypes refer to certain typical symbols - a character, an action, a situation - that reflect universal patterns of human nature. In epic poems, we find the archetype of the hero. Gilgamesh, Achilles, Beowulf, and Odysseus, for instance, are all examples of the archetype of the epic hero. These characters represent admirable qualities every human being wishes to possess: bravery, honor, strength, pride, fairness, intelligence, beauty, skills, and so on. The epic hero is often the savior of a nation, sometimes defeating other human beings but, most of the time, fighting and killing monsters. He usually has some type of connection with the gods. His reputation precedes and outlasts him.
