Though unemployment during the great depression was widespread, it was higher in some parts of the united states than in others.

A geographer uses unemployment data points to make a map, while an economic historian arranges data about state-by-state unemployment levels into a table. What information might a geographer be able to convey more clearly than the economic historian?

A geographer can show which parts of the state was affected the most, because some parts of the states, for example, can be affected by the Dustbowl, while other parts aren't. If they arranged data by state-by-state, then the GDP of a state can drop drastically per the natural disaster (such as the Dust Bowl) % on the overall of the state. So a geographer can show which parts of the state(s) were affected by what disaster.

hope this helps
